My goal as a Licensed Professional Counselor is to create a safe, supportive experience. I assist clients with developing insight into themselves, building skills for managing life more effectively, developing healthy perspectives, and when appropriate, exploring the roots of emotional pain and unhealthy patterns. Therapy can help you create a life worth living and find more peace in the present. I believe people are capable of healing and change, and I know how scary and difficult change can be. I find that with therapeutic support, one can learn the tools needed to feel safer, stronger, and more confident in making positive changes.
I utilize research and evidence based practices including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Polyvagal Therapy, and Narrative Therapy for Trauma. I often incorporate Mindfulness practices into session. I also assist clients through life transitions, learning assertiveness skills, overcoming codependency, and developing healthy boundaries.
While telehealth isn’t the right choice for all issues and therapy needs, it can be a great option for anyone needing convenience in their busy schedules, those who live in rural areas, or those who have transportation barriers.
